HELLENIZATION OF THE BYZANTINE EMPIRE

HELLENIC

Hellenization of the Byzantine Empire

The Greeks managed an unprecedented feat, without an army, they have forged a culturally the Byzantine empire. The Romans of the Eastern Roman Empire were conquered by Hellenism as shown in the text below:

From the reign of Heraclius, 610-641, a process of Hellenization
the Empire, ie the gradual rise of Greek influence. In that
period, in a certain way, no longer the Byzantine Empire
East for the Greek Empire of the East: the Greek language replaced
Latin as official language. So what was previously united under Justinian
East and West, was separated, and this only made the antagonism West /
East grow. (Virtual Unimes - Course of History)

HELENISMO

HELENIZAÇÃO DO IMPÉRIO BIZANTINO

Oriente crescer. (Unimes Virtual – Curso de História)
